Escalent hires its first HR director

July 21, 2022

In the United States, the analysis and consulting company Escalent has appointed Laura Lopez as its first director of human resources (CHRO).

The agency, which combines proprietary data capture methods and technologies with industry expertise and a set of visualization tools, was created when research firms Morpace and Market Strategies International were acquired and merged in 2018. Lopez (pictured) joins after two decades in HR and leadership roles, having most recently worked at TELUS Agriculture as Vice President, People and Culture. Previously, she was Vice President of Talent and Culture at AFS Technologies, and worked for technology consulting firm 4th Source, leading a global team and developing automated talent acquisition programs. She has also held human resource leadership positions in the hospitality, healthcare and non-profit sectors.

In her new role, she will join the company’s Executive Committee and report to CEO Melissa Sauter, who comments, “Laura is a seasoned professional with deep expertise in all facets of global HR. Escalent’s success is driven by amazing people around the world, and we’re confident that Laura’s leadership will nurture our culture and our people. We are delighted to welcome him to the team”.
