Dedicated flood resource website to help affected Ipswich businesses

Flood-affected businesses in Ipswich can turn to the council’s dedicated website offering a range of support and information.

The landing page can be found at Flood Business Resources 2022 – Business Ipswich and provides details on key recovery topics, including financial support, waste management services and volunteer information.

The chair of the local disaster management group, Mayor Teresa Harding, said the council’s dedicated business support page, which is now live, was a key resource for businesses affected by the flooding.

“Our businesses are the engine room of the local economy, and many have been impacted by recent rains and flooding,” Mayor Harding said.

“As if they hadn’t done it hard already: two years of COVID-19 had seen many people crumble and business results badly affected. It couldn’t have come at a worse time.

“The Council is here to support our business community and our recovery assistance page will hopefully provide vital assistance in their time of need as they fight to get back on their feet.”

The page links directly to the council’s disaster dashboard, the state government’s small business disaster center, and advises businesses on where to go for grants and support services.
