NASAA Promotes Financial Literacy Month with Investor Education Resources

The NASAA Investor Education Resources were developed by the NASAA Investor Education Section Committee to help support the investor education efforts of state and local securities regulators. provinces. “NASAA has provided the public with free, high-quality educational materials for investors for years,” said Tom Cotter, Co-Chair of NASAA’s Investor Education Section Committee and Vice Chairman of the Alberta Securities Commission. “Our advisories and investor alerts, which address current investment trends, including threats from cybercriminals, are an important part of this awareness.”

The financial literacy tools available on NASAA’s website include investor awareness and protection resources, including: tips on how to spot the warning signs of possible investment fraud; how to request information about the qualifications, employment history and disciplinary record of your broker or investment adviser; and contact information for each state or provincial securities regulatory office.
