San Bernardino Public Library offers new online resources – San Bernardino Sun

While some activities such as story time and crafts have been temporarily halted, regular library service has continued at all four San Bernardino Public Library locations, and the library recently added new online resources.

Feldheym Central Library and branches in Inghram, Rowe, and Villaseñor are open 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday.

Three new online resources are available for library cardholders.

One of the new resources is cloudLibrary NewsStand, a catalog of digital magazines and newspapers delivered directly to personal devices. It’s a standalone app that offers individual articles, back issues, and an EZ reading mode, with access to 7,000 titles in over 60 languages.

Another online resource, LearningExpress Library, is an online learning platform offering online tutorials, practice tests, and e-books for educational and professional enrichment. In addition to reading, writing, math, and basic science training, LearningExpress Library offers tools and resources to help with job search, workplace skills, and professional certification exam preparation. College and graduate admissions test prep and GED test prep are also available, according to a news release.

Also new is GetSetUp, which helps people over 55 learn new skills, connect with others, and unlock new life experiences.

San Bernardino Public Library cardholders can also continue to access content from nine other Southern California public libraries through the Overdrive portal at sbpl.org. Overdrive partner libraries include Alhambra, Beaumont, Beverly Hills, Buena Park, Camarillo, Moorpark, Redondo Beach, Torrance and Whittier.
